The Pokéball Splatter Series began as a fun side project combining two of my favorite things: Pokémon and expressive design. What started as an experimental digital canvas turned into a collection of six bold, paint-splattered interpretations of iconic Pokéballs, each one celebrating the individuality and history behind the designs.
The series includes: Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Master Ball, Premier Ball, Cherish Ball
Every piece uses splatter textures to bring kinetic energy to the designs, as if each Pokéball is caught mid-motion. The concept later evolved into all-over shirt prints, transforming the wall art into wearable expressions of fandom and creativity.
Reflection:
This series was pure joy to create, a playful mix of nostalgia, color theory, and motion design. It’s a reminder that fan art can be both reverent and experimental, capturing what we love about a world while making it feel fresh and alive again.
