Casual Coffee was a sub-project of Cold Coffee Comics, created as a laid-back video podcast where my friends and I would unwind and talk about gaming, pop culture, and whatever topics came to mind that week. The goal was to create something that felt approachable and authentic, like hanging out over a cup of coffee with friends.
The logo plays off the original Cold Coffee branding while taking on a warmer, more social tone. The design features two hands clinking to-go coffee cups in a toast, framed by a circular badge reminiscent of a coffeehouse logo. The cool blue accents and ice cubes tie it back to its roots while reinforcing that “chill, casual vibe.”
Over time, Casual Coffee evolved into an audio podcast called The Brew, carrying forward the same conversational spirit.
Reflection:
This project was a fun exploration into brand continuity and adaptation, taking an existing identity (Cold Coffee) and reshaping it for a more relaxed format. It was also a lesson in how creative projects naturally evolve, how one idea can spark another, even if the original fades.
