Adulting Is the Worst explores the universal realization that independence comes with invisible weight. What begins as a childhood ideal of freedom often shifts into the reality of responsibility, financial pressure, and constant decision-making.
The design centers on a simple but intentional typographic intervention: the word “Best” is struck through and replaced with “Worst,” creating an immediate visual punch and reinforcing the emotional shift from expectation to reality. The bold, expressive typography balances humor with honesty, making the piece relatable without losing clarity or readability.
The goal was to create a wearable graphic that feels conversational, modern, and emotionally resonant while maintaining strong visual hierarchy for apparel application.
